Finally stopped here for a quick drink, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! The staff was absolutely lovely, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the drinks were delicious. They rotate their cocktail menu seasonally, and we happened to try some of their newest additions. My husband ordered the Spring Loaded, which was an incredibly smooth bourbon cocktail, and I got the White Lotus, which had a really nice citrus balance. The view is hard to beat, and they even had the fire pits going on a beautiful evening, which made the whole experience even better. We’re looking forward to coming back during the off-season to enjoy the view, try more drinks, and check out the food menu. Overall, we were very impressed!
Went to the Bar & Grill for a birthday gathering and immediately demonstrated our collective gift for navigation. We parked, strolled past the lower-level entrance, and instead marched confidently between the imposing columns toward the hotel lobby—because, according to Google Maps, that was the restaurant entrance. The hotel staff, displaying both patience and good humor, gently redirected us to the correct door. We were seated with a lovely view of the frozen, snow-covered lake—quite picturesque in a stark, wintery sort of way. At noon the dining room was fairly quiet, though by the time our meals arrived it had filled to near capacity. Our party consisted of nine adults and one energetic, but well-behaved nine-month-old. Our server took drink orders and suggested fresh-squeezed lemonade from the bar, offered in three varieties: classic, fig, and rosemary. The glasses were slightly smaller than I would prefer, though apparently the perfect size for everyone else. I ordered the fig lemonade and enjoyed it. My son sampled both and declared that he preferred Minute Maid—proof that children remain the harshest beverage critics. The drinks were not overly sweet, which I appreciated, and the fresh lemon flavor came through nicely. I ordered the edamame dumplings as a starter—the lone appetizer at the table. I tried one from the broth before passing the rest to my wife and son, who promptly devoured them with enthusiasm. They were quite tasty, though the sodium content made itself known. Most of the table opted for either the smash burger or the steakhouse burger. Two diners needed to avoid gluten; one skipped the bun entirely, while the other tried the restaurant’s gluten-free version. There was a respectable wait while the kitchen prepared our meals—long enough for us to finish our lemonade well before the entrées appeared. When the food arrived, everyone was served except the birthday girl (who had just turned 50). The kitchen had apparently rejected the color of her sweet potato fries and decided to redo them. In fairness, the fries were the highlight of the meal and worth the delay. Several of us ordered them, and every plate returned empty. The burgers were cooked medium-rare as requested and were impressively juicy. I strongly recommend leaning over your plate while eating them unless you wish to test the absorbency of your trousers. My son discovered this the hard way. Portions were generous enough that most of us surrendered before finishing. We had pre-ordered a birthday cake, which proved more than sufficient for our group of nine. The slices served were admirably large. The frosting was only lightly sweetened, and the cake featured alternating layers of chocolate cake and vanilla pudding. It was quite beautiful. Most diners, however, waved the white flag somewhere around the final half-inch of frosting. On our way out we noticed a board advertising upcoming international nights, which I found intriguing and reason enough to consider a return visit. Would I go again? Absolutely. Would I recommend it to a friend? Also yes—particularly for something like a prom dinner reservation. One final note: the bathrooms are impressively large and rather elegant, though they are located down the hall in the hotel rather than within the restaurant itself.
Today my husband and l Celebrated our 45th anniversary with lunch on your beautiful patio. The food was delicious, stunning view and one of the best server’s that we have ever had. I believe his name is Ianko. We cannot wait to return.
